Weifeng always consider the food hygiene and safety of the factory to be the most important. We are taking various measures for environmental sanitation against flies, rodents, cockroaches, etc. Even more， In the early 2019, our factory cooperated with the renowned internationally insect control brand ECOLAB Chemical Co., Ltd. to carry out the program of integrated pest management.
Below is the details of the program:

A.Introduction of ECOLAB

B. Introduction of IPM
Integrated Pest Management（IPM）
Integrated Pest Management is designed to implement a common-sense approach to pest control that eliminates the cause of pest infestations and maintains responsible pest control year-round.Custom Pest Control experts are focused on responsibly eliminating the conditions which are conducive to pest infestations. Eliminating the pests food, water, and harborage will significantly decrease your pest problem while decreasing the use of pesticides and chemical.

Aim of IPM: Under this method, pesticides are only used according to standard established guidelines and treatment is done with a goal of removing only the target organisms. It is a method which is used to solve pest problems without or at low level of risk to the people and the environment.

THE SOLUTION:
Together, Ecolab and the customer implemented an implementation of integrated pest management. It included:
1.Manual observation to determine the source of pest activity.
2.Providing recommendations on how and where to properly clean to help prevent pests.
3.Tracking against pest activity thresholds to manage against these pests.

4.Performing regular residual treatments to prevent activity.

C. Training given by ECOLAB

Our factory accepts the training given by ECOLAB, including basic content of pest management, habits of pests and precaution, the key point in daily operating process.

Ecolab 's services are dedicated to protecting the brand for customers; operations often require certain food safety standards to be met, and based on our on-site survey experience, it is most likely to receive the following pest threats:

Department of Pest Control will use a variety of methods to solve pest problems and provide targeted preventive measures and services to the factory. The program of pest control by ECOLAB is comprehensive:

1.Reduce pest stress – from outside the building.

2.Blocking pests –eliminate pest intrusion routes.

3.Removing conditions that attract pests, such as food, water, and shelter –inside or outside the building.

4.Eliminate pests –pests in the interior of the building.

1. Set the Tamper-resistant bait station outside the building（image1&2），which contains bait and recorded label；Check, clean, record the bait station every time, and analyze the source of the rodent if there is a trace of the rodent.

2. Check the potential intrusion routes of all indoor rodent, and place strong sticky mouse boards in the necessary places of the rodent (usually on both sides of the doorway, corners, pipe racks, etc.) (image3).

3. Regularly check and replace the sticky mouse board.

4.Record the structural loopholes that may cause the intrusion of rodent at the scene, make the blocking plan.

2. Inspecting the Stealth flies trap installed regularly, including changing sticky sheets, recording pest data, providing source analysis reports and put forward suggestions.

3. Provide an analysis report for the trend of flying insects at each stage, review and make a new pest control target for next year after the completion of the year-round service.

The communication meeting about service content will be held before the first to ensure the smooth completion of equipment installation preparation, factory safety training, etc. In the first month, to install all the necessary instruments and draw a floor plan;

Set the sticky mouse boards inside the area of the factory such as warehouses and the entrance of the passages, and set the ECOLAB Stealth (flies trap) in the area rich of flies;

In the first month，Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the factory，report on the risks that may cause pest problems and put forward suggestions. After the completion of the first month，review and schedule the key point for the next 3 months;

ECOLAB provides the training about pest control to the factory every year for free, so everyone can understand how to deal with pests and participates in pest management;

From the second month on，the officials of ECOLAB will deal with the problems in terms of the opinions given by the factory and key pest problems.

I. Effect

With the action and professional guidance of ECOLAB, our factory has gradually established a more comprehensive and effective integrated pest management system. Under the training given by ECOLAB, all employees’awareness of pest control was also strengthened, and they cooperated in the process of pest management actively. We are sure that our factory is getting better and better.
